Whatever Happened to Lime & Violet

They've flounced from the internet on an epic scale. Their podcasts have gone from iTunes. The Limenviolet Ravelry group has been deleted. The only thing left on their website is a mysterious message and a reference to "death threats". Violet (or Eliza, or whatever she's going by now) also mentions death threats on her blog.

It's all very mysterious. Part of me can't help thinking that it's a pretty good way to go out with a bang. Suggest a bit of juicy drama, and then say nothing and watch people go nuts.

Another part of me can't help thinking that after the epic Intentions Yarn Club drama, it's just karma. But I don't have enough information because they deleted all of it!

If you know anymore, feel free to share in the comments. Help a frustrated bitch out.

  3. Look for the blog of "Ilikeitfrantic" -- there's plenty documented there.

  4. Miss Violet has moved on, didn't take much googling to find a new blog for a new craft complete with link to her own forum. So she carries on, creating a name for herself, selling items, and i am sure getting in over her head and running away. Le sigh.

  5. Now I'm curious. Where?

  6. I am pretty sure peonyblue.com is her, someone somewhere mentioned she had started using that name. The blog starts up shortly after she stops using her junebug blog.

http://www.lesbonnesideesmag.com/nouveau/looked like it might be her work too, some former IYC people had gotten emails about the site. There is a link to a boutique with nothing stocked yet.

  7. There seems to be something called the Oak river township with her name on/around it.

  8. Oak River Township isn't new. I think she even mentionned it once on L&V or her blog. Just another webpage she created and left to dangle, like many others.

  9. Violet, Eliza, Elli, and her other personas have moved back into the mixed media community. I guess she realized the financial well in the knitting community had gone dry after her screw ups so now she is hocking her wares to digital scrapbookers and art journalers.

  10. How about this? Wasn't there a whole Midway scent thing going on at one point? This seems very similar. Could be pure coincidence. The Etsy shop has been around for quite a while and there don't seem to be any customer service complaints.

  11. There were some customer service/communication issues that caused bannination here:

Still, could really, really be a coincidence. Something about some of the scent names just triggered a memory.
